Make an Impact Beyond Facilities
Are you a hands-on Facilities Manager who enjoys leading teams, solving challenges, and taking ownership of large-scale facilities operations? Do you thrive in environments where your work directly supports a meaningful mission?
Join an award-winning nonprofit organization that has been serving children, families, and communities. This organization provides critical services that heal, educate, and empower those who need them most. As their Facilities Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring their facilities remain safe, functional, welcoming, and well-maintained for the thousands of individuals they serve.
This is not a desk-only management role. We're seeking a true facilities leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves, work alongside their team when needed, and bring strong facilities expertise across multiple trades and building systems.

This individual will lead facilities and housekeeping staff, manage vendors and contractors, support facilities improvement projects, and ensure all facilities operate efficiently and safely.

Lead and mentor Facilities Associates and Housekeeping staff.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and excellent facilities service.
Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, functional, and compliant at all times.
Assist with oversight of additional organizational properties as assigned.
Facilities Maintenance & Building Systems
Oversee preventative maintenance programs for all facilities and equipment.

Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Support long-term facilities planning and capital improvements.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure facilities compliance with OSHA, local regulations, safety standards, and agency requirements.
Develop and maintain facilities safety programs and emergency preparedness plans.
Conduct facilities audits and inspections.
Maintain documentation related to facilities operations, repairs, maintenance, and compliance activities.

Manage facilities budgets and operational expenses.
Oversee vendor contracts, procurement activities, and service agreements.
Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate services when appropriate.
Track facilities expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications Required
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or facilities operations.
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing facilities teams.
Experience overseeing multiple facilities, campuses, or properties.
Strong working knowledge of facilities maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.
Experience with facilities budgeting, procurement, vendor management, and contract administration.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role and actively support facilities operations when needed.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Relevant facilities certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
OSHA 30-Hour Certification or other facilities, safety, or construction-related certifications.
Experience in nonprofit, education, healthcare, residential, campus, social services, or community-based environments.
Experience managing large-scale facilities and extensive equipment inventories.
